[02.04.2008] Competition for the best souvenir of Vidzeme
Aldis Kuskis, the deputy of European Parliament, together with Vidzeme University announces a competition to find the best souvenir for Vidzeme
The author of the best idea will receive Apple MacBook Air - the thinnest notebook in the world. Everyone is welcome to participate, wirh a special emphasis on the students of art schools, industrial schools and secondary schools. The aim of the competition is to create a souvenir, that would be recognizable in Europe.
The European tourism policy is putting an emphasis to the regions. Europe does not consist only of Paris or Rome. Vidzeme is an important part of Europe, just we need to advertise it more. With this competition I hope to attact young people and bright ideas, that would promote Vidzeme in the European conext" says Aldis Kuskis
All submitted ideas will be evaluated in two rounds - after the 7th of May (which is the deadline) the most creative works will be evaluated by a jury, consiting of tourism experts. The awards ceremony will take place on the 23rd of May in Vidzeme University, and the winner will receive a notebook, but 10 more people will have a possibility to visit Brussels and the European Parliament.
